The Lion's Club, Kingstree, along with local law enforcement, firefighters and elected officials joined together to pay tribute to those who perished on 9/11.

On September 11, 2001, live images of the World Trade Center were captured for the world to see. Nearly 3,000 innocent people, including 343 firefighters and paramedics and 71 law enforcement officers died trying to rescue the victims in the most devastating foreign attack on U.S. soil since the attack on Pearl Harbor.
