Robert Lee Reddock, 50, of Lamar and Alex Jamal Patterson, 22, of Darlington have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery that took place July 15, at a store on Thurgood Marshall Highway in Kingstree.
According to arrest warrants issued by the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office, Reddock is alleged to have entered Vicki's armed with a handgun, pointed the weapon at the clerk and demanded money. Patterson is alleged to have acted as lookout in a vehicle outside the store.
Reddock was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent crime and conspiracy. According to the warrant, Reddock has one or more prior convictions prohibiting him from being in possession of or acquiring a firearm.
Patterson is charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, robbery and conspiracy. He is also charged with failure to stop for blue light after deputies engaged him during a traffic stop and a chase ensued at speeds over 100 miles per hour and Patterson subsequently crashing the vehicle. They were booked at the Williamsburg County Detention Center. The clerk was not injured during the crime. All defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
