Kenneth Gardner Elementary School held its annual Spelling Bee on January 14, with 35 students participating in three divisions.
The purpose of the Spelling Bee is to provide students with an opportunity to improve their spelling, learn new vocabulary words, and showcase their outstanding academic abilities. The students who participated in this event worked diligently in order to prepare for this competition.
The students spelled their hearts out and made a great impression on the judges and audience. Not only did they display excellent academic skills but also extraordinary leadership skills. Congratulations to the 2020 winners!
The winner from the fifth grade division, Jerbar Fulton, will now go on to compete in the Pee Dee Regional Spelling Bee to be held in February at Francis Marion University.
