The Pee Dee Coalition is moving forward on its Legacy Campaign with three new sponsorships. Checks were presented by local industries, DSM and UPL and Hemingway Town Council. The Legacy Campaign’s goal is to raise $250,000 to secure a permanent center in Williamsburg County to serve victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the area.                                                       Photos by Michaele Duke

DSM and UPL are joining forces with Pee Dee Coalition to help victims in the Williamsburg County area.

On November 6, the companies announced their sponsorships of Pee Dee Coalition’s Legacy Campaign for Williamsburg County. DSM presented Pee Dee Coalition with a $15,000 commitment in sponsorship of the courtyard. UPL gave a commitment of $3,000 for the screened-in porch and storage area.

Hemingway Town Council also made a donation to Pee Dee Coalition. Council announced during their November 14, meeting the town was donating $1,500 to the Pee Dee Coalition’s Legacy Campaign to further their renovations to the new crisis center at 2 Courthouse Sq., in Kingstree.

 The Legacy campaign’s goal is to raise $250,000, the purpose of this capital campaign is to bring a permanent center to Williamsburg County to serve victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the area. Pee Dee Coalition is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to the reduction of sexual assault, family violence, and child abuse and to the needs of its victims.
