Each year Williamsburg County 4-H and the HomeTown Chamber co-sponsor the Junior Leadership of Williamsburg. The top 10 applicants are accepted into a six-month program where the students attend meetings that highlight career and leadership opportunities in Williamsburg County. The students learn about industry, county government, health care, and agriculture.
At the conclusion of the program, the students will attend a graduation ceremony at a Williamsburg County Council meeting followed by a reception at the Williamsburg County Clemson Extension office. After graduation, the grads will go on a leadership tour to Washington, D.C. Fundraisers like the Black River 5-K provide financial support for the trip.
