Vital Aging Meal WCSO pic1

It takes a team effort to grill up some juicy chicken quarters. Law enforcement with the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office were hard at work preparing meals for over 150 Vital Aging clients as part of their annual Sheriff’s Dinner. The men and women in uniform delivered the meals to the three Vital Aging Centers in the county where the clients picked them up via drive-thru.

A special meal for our elders was made special by the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office. On Thursday, December 10, 2020, the Sheriff’s Office made a holiday gesture by cooking a meal for the clients of Vital Aging.

Because of the pandemic, things were set up a little differently. Rather than host the annual Sheriff’s Christmas dinner at the Williamsburg County’s Emergency Management building, the staff and administration prepared over 150 plates of BBQ chicken and all the fixin’s then delivered the meals to the three Wellness Centers in Kingstree, Greeleyville and Hemingway.
