On Friday, December 1, the Kingstree Blazers basketball teams traveled to Hemingway to battle it out with the Hemingway High Tigers.
The Girls beat out Hemingway 77 to 10. Makayla Dukes was the high scorer of the game with 24 points and 13 steals. Naydia Shaw ran away with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Nayla Wallace scored 9 points, Demia Mosley scored 6 points and had 10 rebounds and 10 steals, and Kylee Kelty scored 6 points.
Kingstree’s Varsity Boys team won over Hemingway 69 to 59. Adarius Hilton and Antonio Kincade were high scorers with 20 and 16 points. Michael Kelly shot 9 points and JD Dorsey scored 8 points.
On Saturday, the 2nd, the teams were back at home against Lamar. The Varsity boys walked away with that one 53 to 38. The girls beat out Lamar 65 to 19.
