Williamsburg County Library is excited to announce the return of Read to Ride through May 24, 2024.

The Williamsburg County Libraries announce Read to Ride 2024 began at the libraries on April 1, 2024.

When children aged 3-18 check out 10 books at one time, or when they receive their first library card they receive a chance to win a bicycle at the end of the program on May 24, 2024. This program is funded entirely by private donations from caring and generous community partners, interested in promoting healthy learning habits and healthy exercise habits for our community children.

A cumulative 10-year total of 17,605 books have been checked out by children during the annual Read to Ride program. That is a lot of books! In 2023, 39 bicycles were won by participating children. That’s a lot of bicycles! That’s a lot of trips to the libraries by children and their parents!
