Any elderly, ill or bedridden residents of the Town of Kingstree who would like for the police department to contact them on a regular basis should call Chief Robert Ford. Memory Dish - Hospice Care of South Caro-lina's Grief Support Group, known as the "Memory Dish" is held the second Thursday of each month from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Williamsburg Technical Col-lege (Administrative Office Building Conference Room). Registration - Little Smurf Too Child Development and School-Age is in Williamsburg County, located at 1435 N. Longstreet St., Kingstree. The 4K (pre-kindergarten) program is a free program offered through South Carolina First Steps with free transportation. The program will be held from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., starting August 20. Honor Flight - World War II veterans wanted to participate in the next Honor Flight to Washington, DC for a one-day trip, which will include a tour of many of the War Memorials. The day will end with a visit to Arlington National Cemetery and the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, then fly home. There is no cost to you, it’s free. Registration - W.M. Anderson Primary School’s registration for students in child development through second grade will be held on August 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students registering for the child development program must be four years old by September 1. Returning students must have all fees paid and update all contact information for registration. All new students must have their birth certificate, social security card, immunization record (White DHEC form), proof of residence, Medicaid cards, proof of income and SNAP case number. Workshop - Clemson Extension Home Canning Workshop will be held Monday, August 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sumter-Clemson Extension Office, 115 N. Harvin St., 5th Floor, Sumter. School Registration - Greeleyville Elementary School will be holding open registration for all students on August 2, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. All students returning to GES will need to be registered. All new students that will be coming to GES for the first time, parents will need to bring the child’s birth certificate, social security card, and current immunization card. If for some reason this date and times are not convenient for you, you may come by the school office any day from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Fundraiser - Williamsburg Regional Boys to Men Club, Inc. (with Girls to Women) will sponsor a Summer Fest Fundraiser on Saturday, August 4, at Gilland Memorial Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fundraiser will provide fun games, delicious food, live entertainment, and fun prizes. Location Change - The location for the August and September monthly meetings of the Georgetown County AUTISM SUPPORT GROUP has changed.The meetings for Tuesday, August 14 and Tuesday, September 11, will be held at St. Mary Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church on the corner of Highmarket and Broad streets in Georgetown. Please follow the signs to the designated classroom in the parish hall. The usual meeting time is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There is plenty of parking on Broad Street (across from Prince George Episcopal Church).
