Noonday Prayer - St. Paul United Methodist Church, 3733 Thurgood Marshall Hwy., Kingstree, will be open for noonday prayer on Wednesdays. We invite anyone who wants to come in and spend time with God to stop by and pray as long as they would like.  The church will open at 12 p.m. and remain open until after Bible Study at 6 p.m.  All are welcome to share in our Bible Study as well.

 

Program - Lady Christ-N-Ty Youth Ministry sponsors youth programs every second Sunday of the month. If you are looking for youth to come to your church to perform praise dancing and singing, lifting the name of Jesus. Ministry - Lady Christ-N-Ty Youth Outfield Ministry Bible study will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 p.m. until. The Bible study will be held at Hwy. 52, the  Powell Trailer Park. For more information contact TeaTon at (843) 356-7397.

Activities - Christ “N” Me Youth Outfield Ministry activities will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Throw and catch, puzzles, games, singing, and dancing and so much more. Yard Sale - Corrie House Garments of Grace Ministries of Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church, located at the end of Sandy Bay Rd., will have an indoor yard sale every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Services - The Church of God and True Holiness, 1185 Thorne Avenue, Kingstree,  invites everyone to join us in our weekly services. Services are 1st and 3rd Sundays at 9 a.m. with Sunday School and Praise service at 10 a.m. Praise/Worship on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays and Bible study every 2nd and 4th Sundays and Thursday nights at True Holiness Church of Deliverance II, 229 N. McQueen St., Florence. Apostle James A. Pratt, Jr. is the pastor.

 

Mid-Week Eucharist - St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, on the corner of Hampton Ave. and Church St. in Kingstree,  invites the community to a mid-week Eucharist each Wednesday at 12 p.m. The service will be kept to 35 minutes for those with work schedules. This is an opportunity for us to gather ecumenically as a community; for a moment of respite from busy lives, to be fed by the scriptures, receive the Body and Blood of Christ and to worship our Lord.

 

Morning Prayer - St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, on the corner of Hampton Ave. and Church St. in Kingstree,  invites everyone to attend daily morning prayer from the Book of Common Prayer. Morning prayer, Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. Mid-Week Eucharist, Wednesdays 12 p.m. Mass, Sundays 11 a.m.

 

Men’s Fellowship - Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 18 South Main Street, Greeleyville, Men’s Fellowship Ministry  and Pastor Otis L. Williams, Jr. extends a cordial invitation to men in the community and surrounding areas to join us in worship Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m.

 

Clothes Giveaway - Kingstree Church of Christ, 1288 Sumter Hwy., Kingstree, will have a clothes giveaway on Saturday, June 30, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

 

Teachings From The Ark - Teachings From The Ark announces the following events for the month of May. May 19 a movie, admission is  $3, adults and $2, children with free refreshments at 11:30 a.m. May 26 closed. Teachings From The Ark’s Food Pantry will be open to the public, Saturday, May 19, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at 101 E. Main St., Kingstree. All recipients are required to show a current valid photo I.D. in order to receive commodities. No exceptions.

 

Men’s Conference - The men of East Lake City Believers Holiness Church will be hosting their 11th annual Men’s Conference.  This blessed event will take place from Thursday, May 24 to Friday, May 25, at 7:30 p.m. each night.  The Men’s Conference will conclude on Sunday,  May 27,  at 4 p.m. The speakers for the conference will be: Pastor John Rogers, (Thursday and Friday nights), Sunday morning, May 27, at 10:30 a.m., Elder James Pressley, Associate Minister of Beulah BHC, Johnsonville and Bishop Frederick Johnson, pastor of St. John AME on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m.

The church is located at1847 McCutcheon Road, Lake City.

 

Anniversary - Shekinah Temple invites you to our pastor Prophetess Janet L. McCrea’s first pastoral anniversary on Thursday, May 17 and Friday, May 18, at 7 p.m. each night. Our celebration will conclude on Sunday, May 20, at 5 p.m.

Program - Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church Missionary Department invites everyone to our second annual Hat Program on Sunday, May 20, at 4 p.m.

Our guest speaker is Evangelist Nancy Gamble from Central Missionary Baptist Church of Salters.Be sure to wear your hat everyone! Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist is located at 367 Old Gap Way Rd., Salters. The Rev. S.A. green is the pastor.

 

Conference - The women of Kingdom Works Ministries’ Women Breakthrough Ministries cordially invite you to come and worship with us as we celebrate our annual “Women Conference of 2012,”  from Monday, May 14 to Saturday, May 19.

Monday’s speaker will be Evangelist Ruby Graham from the Mega Omega Ministries of Cades at 7 p.m. Tuesday’s speaker will be Minister Betty Ross from New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Lake City at 7 p.m. Wednesday’s speaker will be Dr. Evangelist Dorethea Cooper of New St. Mark Believers Holiness Church and Trinity Believers Holiness Church at 7 p.m. Thursday’s speaker will be Dr. Evangelist Beverly Graham from Trinity Believers Holiness Church of Kingstree at 7 p.m.

Friday’s speaker will be Evangelist Annie Graham from Emwell Freewill Baptist Church of Olanta at 7 p.m. Saturday’s speaker will be Sister Wanda Gray from the Promise Land Ministries of Sumter at 11 a.m.

Marriage Seminar - Full Gospel Outreach Ministries Church of God in Christ, 900 Third Avenue, Kingstree, presents their first annual Marriage Seminar on Saturday, May 26. Light breakfast will be served at 9  a.m., and the first session will begin at 9:45 a.m. The seminar will conclude on Sunday, May 27, with a church service at 12:30 p.m. Whether you are young, single, married, or a senior this seminar is for you! Sunday School Restoration - The District Sunday School Staff will be rehosting the Sunday School Restoration workshop for all Sunday school classes.  We are looking for all Sunday school officers along with their classes.  This is a workshop that was held back in February.  Again, we’re asking for each church along with the teachers and assistants to please be present.  This workshop is for all classes and students.  Again, we’re looking for all: Superintendents and assistants, Sunday school secretaries and assistants, adult teachers and assistants, high elementary teachers and assistants, early elementary teachers and assistants, and nursery class teachers and assistants.

The Sunday School Restoration and VBS Workshop will be held Saturday, May 26, at 11 a.m. at the Believers Holiness Convention Center. Also at this workshop, we will also do our VBS Workshop as well.  This will be a great opportunity to view the VBS material for your upcoming VBS.  If you have any questions, please contact Dea. Anniversary - The Ushers of East Lake City Believers Holiness Church cordially invite you to come out and celebrate with us on our 25th Usher’s Anniversary.  This blessed event will take place on Sunday, June 3, at 4 p.m.  The speaker on this joyous occasion will Elect Lady Evang. Pearl Major, Associate Minister of Number One Holiness Church, White Oak Community.

Meetings - The Women of Excellence of Good Shepherd Outreach Ministries of Sumter will be conducting monthly meetings for the Kingstree area on the following Saturdays, May 19, June 9, July 14, and August 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All ladies welcome!

Hot topics for discussion will be “Christian Women and Weight Loss, Wardrobe, Skincare/Beauty, and Discovery of your Spiritual Gifts/Talents!” The meetings are free, refreshments served and door prizes awarded.
