On Thursday October 18, 2012, the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), the South Carolina Department of Probation Parole and Pardon Services (SCDPPPS) and the US Marshal’s Service conducted a Narcotic Warrant roundup in the Donnelly Community of Hemingway in Williamsburg County. Eight people were arrested on Narcotic charges:
Anthony Pressley (43) 17 Brown Road, Hemingway SC, 2 counts of distribution/cocaine base. Ronnie Turner (36) 204 Poston Street, Hemingway SC, 1 count of distribution/cocaine base. James Sessions (23) 101 King Apt. 39, Hemingway SC, 3 counts of distribution/cocaine base. Jamie Cantey (40) 17 Daisey Lane, Hemingway SC, 1 count of distribution/cocaine base. Willie Mae Bell (55) 40 Daffodil Lane, Hemingway SC, 2 counts of distribution/cocaine base, David McCrea (52) 20 Pasley Street, Hemingway SC, 1 count of possession of marijuana. Jimmy Canteen (31) 52 Donnelly Street, Hemingway SC, 1 count of possession of marijuana.
The operation was a result of a six month long investigation into the illegal Narcotic distribution in the Hemingway area conducted by the Narcotics Division of the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office and SLED.
