Funeral services for Willie Lee Patterson, conducted by the Rev. Clifford Levine, were held Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Lane. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Cowhead Cemetery of Lane. Mr. Patterson died Friday, April 6, 2012. He was born May 5, 1970, in Williamsburg County. He graduated from C.E. Murray High School, Class of 1988. After graduation, he joined the Marine Corps, where he served seven years. After joining the Marines, he became an entrepreneur and started his own cleaning services, which was called Patterson’s Janitorial. He was a member of Bethel AME Church. Two brothers, Therris Keels and Vincent Keels, preceded him in death. Survivors are: his mother, Leatha Mae Patterson of Lane; his father, Willie Keels, Sr. (Evelyn) of Greeleyville; three brothers, Shedrick Patterson of Lane; Willie Keels, Jr. (Mary) of Spartanburg; and Terell Keels of Greeleyville; and three sisters, Cleresa Keller (Alie) of Summerville; Sheka Keels of Greeleyville; and Monique Smith (Marquan) of Columbia.
