Funeral services for William Willard “Will” Wild, conducted by Pastor Michael Watson, were held Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Burial, directed by Thompson Funeral Home, followed at Woodridge Memorial Park. Mr. Wild, 70, died Monday, December 31, 2012. Born in Clinton, he was a son of the late Dr. Willard Wild and Christine Daniels Wild. He was a systems programmer with the SC Department of Education. He attended Presbyterian College, Florida State and Florence Darlington Technical College. Two sisters, Dorothy Wild Marchant and Eleanor Wild Olesen, preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to Harvest Hope Food Bank, 2220 Shop Road, Columbia, SC 29201.
