William David Rogers, 64, died Friday, December 11, 2009 in a Columbia hospital.
Graveside funeral services were held at Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery, directed by Dimery and Rogers Funeral Home, on Monday December 14, 2009. Mr. Rogers was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, a son of the late Liston Wilson Rogers and Marian Hill Rogers DuBose. He was a graduate of Greeleyville High School and was a carpenter. He was a member of Union Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, having served in the U.S. Army. Survivors, in addition to his mother, of Kingstree, are: one daughter, Beth R. Hurley (John) of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sons, William David Rogers, II and Alfred Crane Rogers, both of Wilmington, North Carolina; two sisters, Louise R. Mouzon (James) of Kingstree and Linda R. Taylor (Randy) of Columbia; one brother, Benji I. Rogers (Ava) of Lake City; and two grandchildren.
