Mrs. Varner Coker Hanna, 73, wife of Henley M. Hanna, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet. A memorial service was held Sunday, July 1, 2012, at National HealthCare in Surfside Beach, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home. Mrs. Hanna was born November 22, 1938, in Kingstree, a daughter of William Alver and Olive Selema Altman Coker. She was a graduate of Kingstree High School and was retired as an administrative assistant for Williamsburg County EMS.
Survivors, in addition to her husband of Kingstree, are: one son, Mark A. Hanna of Pawleys Island; one daughter, Tracy Hanna Foye (Brian) of Pawleys Island; two sisters, Libby Mitchum of Kingstree; and June Coker of Lake City; and three grandchildren.
