Funeral services for Torrie “Pedro” Lamar Wilson, conducted by the Rev. Manuel Fogle, were held Thursday, August 12, 2010, at Great Present AME Church in Andrews. Burial, directed by Redmond-Richardson Funeral Home, followed at Great Present Memorial Garden in Andrews. Mr. Wilson, 28, died Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown. He was born July 7, 1982, in Kingstree, a son of Thurmon Wilson Sr. and Geneva McFadden Wilson. He was a member of Great Present AME Church, where he sang on the choir and attended Sunday school. He attended D.P. Cooper Elementary School in Salters and C.E. Murray High School in Greeleyville. He graduated from the Job Corp in Bamberg. Survivors, in addition to his parents of the home, are: two sisters, Tanysha Wilson (Antonio Tisdale) of Kingstree; Dwan Wilson (Willie Samuel) of Orangeburg; two brothers, Dawn Wilson (Brittany Griffin) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and Thurmon Wilson, Jr. of the home; and his paternal grandmother, Mary Wilson of Andrews.
