Funeral services for TaQuan Garnet Allen, conducted by Bishop Odell Fulton and Bishop Dr. Linwood Cooper, were held Friday, March 8, 2013, at Sandridge Believer’s Holiness Church of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Crossroads Cemetery of Salters.
Mr. Allen died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) of Charleston, due to an automobile accident. He was born April 19, 1995, in Myrtle Beach, the son of James Garnet Allen, II, and Tawanda Mack Allen. He attended Kingstree Senior High School and completed all of his high school requirements at West Florence High School of Florence. He was accepted to ITT Technical College for engineering in Tennessee, where he planned to attend in August 2013. Survivors, in addition to his parents, are: four brothers, James Garnet Allen, III of Loris; Ronald Mack of Kingstree; and Xavier Tyrese Allen and Savion J. Allen, both of Florence; and his grandparents, Mary and Lee Ridgeway.
