The investigation into the September 9, death of a Salters man continues. The cause of death of Myron Jarone McClary, 22, of Salters, was ruled a homicide after an autopsy conducted at the Medical University of South Carolina was completed. The autopsy showed the man died from severe trauma to his head.
Andre Antino Robinson, 40, of Lane, is being held at the Williamsburg County Detention Center in connection to the incident.
Williamsburg County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to 1049 Blakely Road after the owner of a shop discovered the man. At the time, McClary could not be identified and no identification was found on his person. According to Williamsburg County Sheriff Michael Johnson, Robinson was later picked up by law enforcement. During their investigation, Robinson confessed to committing the crime. According to Johnson, the two men engaged in a verbal altercation, which led to a fight. Johnson said it is believed the two were related. South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is assisting in the investigation.
