Funeral services for Robert “Bootsie” Price, Sr., conducted by the Rev. Warren Murdock, Sr., were held Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Friendship United Methodist Church of Nesmith. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Friendship United Methodist Cemetery #2 of Nesmith.

Mr. Price died Thursday, November 22, 2012. He was born May 2, 1946, in Panther, West Virginia, the son of Elizabeth Johnson Brooks Price and the late Arrington Price. He was educated at Kimbal High School of Kimbal, West Virginia. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army in 1963, where he served for four years. He held various positions in retail prior to working at the General Motors Cooperation, where he received many certificates for perfect attendance and retired from after 30 years of employment. Two sisters, Alice Olivia Parker and Cora Lee Johnson, and one brother, Wellman Brooks, Jr., preceded him in death. Survivors, in addition to his mother of Iaeger, West Virginia; are: his wife, Lorine E. Wilson Price of the home; two children, Karen Dorene Price of Stormville, New York; and Robert A. Price, Jr. of Lithonia, Georgia; one sister, Vera Mae Brooks of Iaeger, West Virginia; one brother, James Brooks (Iris) of New Rochelle, New York; four Godchildren, Joya Billups and Nyaisha Scott, both of New York, NY; and Gregory and Crystal Pressley-Salters of Florence.
