Funeral services for Richard “Tiny” or “Body Guard” Clifton Frazier, conducted by the Rev. Herman Gibson, Jr., were held Monday, March 4, 2013, at Ranzie Grove Baptist Church of Salters. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Smith-Cooper Cemetery of Salters. Mr. Frazier died Monday, February 25, 2013. He was born June 1, 1934, in Trio of Williamsburg County, the son of the late Isaac and Trudy Frazier. He graduated from Blakely High School. After moving to Charlotte, North Carolina, he became a member of Greenville Memorial AME Zion, where he was a Deacon, a member of the Steward Board, and a member of the Men’s Choir. He retired after 10 years of service with Mecklenburg County and began his landscaping business. He was also a part of the Unique Mosaic Lodge Shriners, where he reached level 32 degree. He will be forever memorialized painted on the walls of the West Boulevard Library, where he is featured in a mural created by renowned painter Tommy Robinson. One daughter, Patty Lynn Frazier, and nine siblings, preceded him in death. Survivors are: his wife, Modest Frazier; two daughters, Gloria Froneberger and Vivian Jones (Ronald); four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
