Ray D. Bingham, 66, died Friday, October 2, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services were held Monday, October 5, 2009, at Broad Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Brockington Funeral Home, followed at the church cemetery.
Mr. Bingham was born July 29, 1943, in Florence County, a son of the late David Gregg and Crystal Floyd Bingham. He was a member of Broad Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church and was employed by Martek Biosciences for 40 years. Survivors are: his wife, Rennie Calcutt Bingham of Kingstree; two sons, Ray Bingham, Jr. (Dee) of Greer; and Gregg Bingham (Donna) of Coward; one daughter, Glenda Miller (Joel) of Kingstree; three sisters, Faye Courtney of Columbia; Virgel B. Tanner (Ronnie) of Kingstree; and Cathy B. Britton (Tommy) of Hemingway; one brother, Jerry Bingham (Louise) of Manning; and seven grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Broad Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church building fund, 941 Broad Swamp Road, Kingstree, SC 29566.
