Williamsburg Cares President Jim Wise and Gracie Chandler unload a bounty of good things, courtesy of employees of the Kingstree Post Office. Each year the post office holds a food drive for Williamsburg Cares. Mail carriers retrieve the food items left on resident’s doorstep. The post office has been donating their time and efforts to Williamsburg Cares for four years. Their support, along with local schools and businesses is greatly appreciated as the gloomy economy has translated into poor sales and mediocre funding. The organization is currently asking for household items such as bed frames, furniture and mattresses, along with other donations. Photo by Michaele Duke
