Funeral services for Mrs. Olga Edith Miller Mouzon, conducted by the Rev. J. Jeannetté Cooper, were held Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Pressley’s Funeral Home, followed at Greenlawn Cemetery of Kingstree. Mrs. Mouzon died Friday, January 25, 2013. She was born July 27, 1910, in Kingstree, the daughter of the late Washington Miller and Mary Pendergrass Miller. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and worked with the Bible School. She also was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She received her education from Tomlinson High School, Claflin College and South Carolina State College of Orangeburg. She taught in South Carolina for over 45 years. She was married to the late Samuel Mouzon, Sr. Survivors are: one son, Samuel Mouzon, Jr.; and three sisters, Carrie Platts, Sara Lees Cooper, and Thelma Woods.
