MOEADEN MCCREA, KINGSTREE

Moeaden Eaddy McCrea, 89, widow of Lathan Marcellous McCrea, died Friday February 15, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 17, 2013, at Central Presbyterian Church. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, followed at Tisdale Cemetery.

Mrs. McCrea was born January 25, 1924, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Berton T. Eaddy and Nellie Hughes Eaddy. She attended Indiantown High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, where she was a past choir member, Sunday schoolteacher, and an officer in the Women of the Church. Five siblings preceded her in death. Survivors are: three children, Nellie Harriette McCrea, Jack Marcellous McCrea (Janet), both of Kingstree; and Donna Jane McCrea of Columbia; four sisters, Bertie Nell McCrea of Pawleys Island; Annie Laura McCants of Georgetown; Wista Brown of Kingstree; and Jean Malay of Moncks Corner; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
