MICHAEL FAULSTITCH, MT.PLEASANT

Michael E. Faulstich, MD, PhD died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Roper St. Frances Hospital. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Charlotte, North Carolina and Houma, Louisiana. Dr. Faulstich was born December 6, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and graduated from Charlotte Catholic High School. He went on to get a PhD in clinical psychology from Louisiana State University, an MD from Duke University, and did his fellowship in diagnostic radiology from Vanderbilt University, after which he began his practice. Since 1996, he has practiced radiology at Clarendon Memorial Hospital and Williamsburg Regional Hospital, as well as covering several outpatient imaging centers. Survivors are: his wife, Kim; three children, Paul, Natalie, and Maria of Mount Pleasant, his parents, Helen and Jerry of Charlotte, North Carolina; and his siblings, Peg, Betsy, Jim, and Sallie. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.
