Megan Elizabeth Piatt, 17, the daughter of William Roy Piatt, Jr. and Donna J. Kellahan Piatt and the sister of William Roy “Will” Piatt, III, died Sunday, January 22, 2012. A Service of Death and Resurrection was held Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at the Sutton United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home, followed at the church cemetery.
Miss Piatt was born March 8, 1994, in Georgetown. She was a senior at Williamsburg Academy, where she played on the Stallions’ basketball and softball teams. She was a member of the local travel ball teams. She received Infant Baptism on May 22, 1994, and after completing the Confirmation Class, she was adopted in the Sutton United Methodist Church. Survivors, in addition to her parents and brother, are: her maternal grandmother, Esther F. Kellahan, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
