Mrs. Margaret Richburg Christmas Parker, 90, widow of Carl W. Parker, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 21, 2012, in the chapel at Williamsburg Funeral Home of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, followed at Richburg Cemetery. Mrs. Parker was born October 31, 1921, in Greeleyville, a daughter of the late Joel E. Richburg and Dora Pope Richburg. She was a graduate of Greeleyville High School and was retired from Albany Felt Co. in St. Stephen. She was a member of Kingstree Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was first married to the late David J. Christmas. In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Survivors are: six children, Nell Welch (Joe) of Sumter; Lamar Christmas (Ella) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; the Rev. John Christmas (Pauline) of Belton; Teretha Ann Murphy of Shalimar, Florida; Helen Still (Rodney) of Aiken; and David Christmas, Jr. (Patty) of Greeleyville; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
