Funeral services for Marcus Darnell “Hommi” Nelson, conducted by Bishop Dr. Roosevelt Fulton, were held Monday, September 3, 2012, at Clauddie Henryhand Memorial Chapel of Kingstree, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home. Mr. Nelson died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, in Myrtle Beach. He was born July 19, 1982, in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Linda Nelson. He was a member of Greater Love Tabernacle Church of Boston, Massachusetts. He attended the public schools of Boston and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School of Boston, Massachusetts. He was an exceptional rapper and made two CDs to show off his talent. He was also a construction worker. Survivors, in addition to his mother of Greeleyville, are: two sons, Syn’cere Hampton and Harlem Darnell Nelson, both of Boston, Massachusetts; two brothers, Troy Royal of Boston, Massachusetts; and Melquan Nelson of Greeleyville; one sister, Mellinda Bailey of Greeleyville; and his grandparents, Dorothy Brown (Seaward) of Greeleyville.
