LOUISE GAMBLE, KINGSTREE

Funeral services for Mrs. Louise “Buster” Dukes Gamble, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Robbie C. McKesson, were held Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Old Mt. Zion AME Zion Church of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Greenlawn Cemetery of Kingstree. Mrs. Gamble died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at her residence. She was born March 20, 1922, in Greeleyville, the daughter of the late Peter Dukes and Susie Hilton Dukes. She was a member of Old Mt. Zion AME Zion Church, where she was a member of the Usher Board. Her husband, Herman Gamble, one daughter, Susie Fullwood, and one son, Robert Lee Gamble, preceded her in death. Survivors are: one daughter, Anna Gamble-Dean of the home; one son, Johnny Gamble (Rosa) of Kingstree; one sister, Alileen Waddell (Vernon) of Wilmington, North Carolina; two adopted granddaughters;11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
