Hattie Lois Miles Strong, 84, widow of J.C. “Bruce” Strong, Jr., died Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Williamsburg Regional Hospital.
Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at McClary Cemetery, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home. Mrs. Strong was born February 15, 1928, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late McDuffie Miles and Isabelle Driggers Miles. She was a homemaker and was a member of Millwood Methodist Church. Two daughters, Rhetta Lee Strong and Cynthia Joan Strong, five brothers, and three sisters, preceded her in death. Survivors are: two children, Etta Marie Hammet (Chalmers) and Bruce Wayne Strong (Linda), both of Kingstree; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
