Lawrence David Tisdale, 57, died on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, in Durham, North Carolina. Funeral service, conducted by Elder Ernest White and Elder Nathaniel King, were held Saturday, November 24, 2012, at New House of Prayer Church of God in Christ of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Redmond-Richardson Funeral Home, followed at Greenlawn Cemetery of Kingstree.
Mr. Tisdale was born January 11, 1955, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Jacob Louis Tisdale, Sr. and Lular Emma Wilson Tisdale. Two siblings, Dan Tisdale and Louvenia Tisdale, preceded him in death. He was a member of Lauhlin Memorial United Methodist Church of Greensboro, North Carolina. He was employed as a tree cutter with Roscoe Tree Service of Greensboro, North Carolina. Survivors are: one daughter, Angel Tisdale of Kingstree; three sons, Devondre Tisdale of Greensboro, North Carolina; Russell Dozier of Augusta, Georgia; and Tyrone Tisdale of Georgia; three brothers, Joe Tisdale, Calvin Tisdale and Levan Tisdale, all of Greensboro, North Carolina; seven sisters, Rebecca Tisdale (Sam) of Greeleyville; Bertha Green (Nathaniel) of Georgetown; Louthina McBride of Salters; Alberta Tisdale (Hayward) and Shirley Gibson (Wally), both of Kingstree; Ola Mae Izzard (William) and Lavarn McCain (Malcolm), both of Greensboro, North Carolina; and two grandchildren.
