Lawrence Mobley Grayson, 88, died Thursday, May 17, 2012, in a Kingstree hospital. Graveside funeral services were held Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home. Mr. Grayson was born September 25, 1923, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Leonidas Mobley Grayson and Ervin McCullough Grayson Graham. He was a retired professional horse trainer, and a member of Cedar Swamp United Methodist Church, where he served as a church trustee. One brother, Harvey L. Grayson, and sisters, Janette G. Brown and Alice G. Barrett, preceded him in death.Survivors are: nieces and nephews, Rufus, Grayson, Terry, and Allison Brown, Bruce, Val, Judy, and Janet Barrett, Leon, Sarah, Allen, and Myra Grayson.
