JOFFOS McFADDEN, KINGSTREE

Funeral services for Joffos “Jay” McFadden, conducted by the Rev. Joshua Dupree and the Rev. Tracy McFadden, were held Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Greater Bethel AME Church of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at McFadden Family Cemetery of New Zion. Mr. McFadden died Friday, October 5, 2012. He was born January 11, 1947, the son of the late Moses and Charity McFadden. He was a member of Greater Bethel AME Church. He received his education in the public schools of Williamsburg County. He was employed with Wellman Industry for many years. He worked as a baker at Prestige Bakery. He also worked as a brick mason. He was not only employed with Helen’s Recycling, but was a big part in making decisions for Helen’s Recycling. Two siblings, Richard and Justine, preceded him in death. Survivors are: his companion, Annie Ruth Lee; through marriage, the mother of his children, Earlie Mae McFadden; his children, Jason McFadden (Cassandra), Jessie McFadden (Rochelle), Edward McFadden (Melissa), Michael McFadden, Adrianna Chandler (Norman), Kevin McFadden, and Tiffany Lee, all of Kingstree; Angelina Myers (Gregory) of Scranton; Johnny McFadden (Roshima) of Lake City; Rachel Bailey (John) of West Palm Beach, Florida; Lavona McFadden of Baltimore, Maryland; Celestine McFadden of Moncks Corner; and Bobbie Lee of High Point, North Carolina; five brothers, Ivory John McFadden (Betty) of Lake City; and Elder Tracy McFadden (Antonette), Troy McFadden, John Muldrow and Harry McFadden, all of Florence; five sisters, Charity Johnson (Lavern) of Charleston; Marie Burgess (Bernard) of Cades; Letha McFadden of Lake City; Claudia Jean Burgess of Sumter; and Sarah Felder of Manning; seven step-siblings, Zachary, Robert, Della, Rosetta, Ken, Tammy, and Wendell, 40 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
