Mrs. Jane Epps deWitt died Friday, February 3, 2012.
Funeral services, conducted by Dr. Sinclair B. Ferguson and Dr. Derek W. H. Thomas, were held Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church of Columbia. Burial, directed by Shives Funeral Home, followed in the churchyard.  Mrs. deWitt was born in Kingstree on October 18, 1927, and attended Converse College. Survivors are: her husband, John R. de Witt; her children, Glenda H. Shuler (Duane), Frank A. Brown, Gregory Epps de Witt (Kelli); four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were David S. Epps, Keith Griffin, C. Clarke McNair, Jonathan D. Shuler, David C. Webber, and Stan Williamson.
