James Hubert “Son” McCutcheon, 67, husband of Mary Collins McCutcheon, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of Florence. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, followed at Sandy Bay Cemetery. Mr. McCutcheon was born May 10, 1945, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Jack Hubert McCutcheon and Alberta Springs McCutcheon. He was a contractor for McKenzie Right-of-Way Company and was a member of Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church. Four sons, Mitchell, Joey, Jimmy, and Chris McCutcheon, preceded him in death. Survivors, in addition to his wife of the home, are: one daughter, Lisa McCutcheon of Cades; a niece, who was like a daughter, Dena “Baby Girl” Disher of Kingstree; one son, Dwayne McCutcheon of Cades; three brothers, Laverne McCutcheon and Rudolph McCutcheon, both of Cades; and Paul McCutcheon of Kingstree; two sisters, JoAnne Coker of Cades; and Jackie Price of Kingstree; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
