James Larry Godwin, 64, died Monday, August 9, 2010, at his residence. A graveside memorial service was held Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Godwin was born February 6, 1946, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Arthur James Godwin, Jr. and Annie Dell Gamble Godwin. He formerly owned and operated a commercial floor maintenance business. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Shawn Godwin. Survivors are: one son, Will Godwin (Nichole) of Kingstree; and two grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, c/o Alice Dukes, 2340 Manning Hwy., Greeleyville, SC 29056.
