IZOLA KENNEDY - KINGSTREE

Mrs. Izola Alma Lane Kennedy, 89, widow of Archie Kennedy, died Saturday, January 30, 2010, at National Health Care in Sumter. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, followed at Kingstree Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Kennedy was born October 3, 1920, in Kingstree, a daughter of the late Stuart Dutton and Bessie Edens Norton Lane. She was a graduate of Kingstree schools and Draughn’s Business College and was a Navy veteran of World War II. Prior to her employment, she was employed by the Kraft Co. and was engaged in farming. Survivors are: one daughter, Alma Martin; two sisters, Serena Coward and Bliss Mooneyhan; one brother, the Rev. Dr. Stewart Lynburg “Lindy” Lane (Lib); and one grandson.
