Hubert Franklin Hanna, 84, husband of Marian Oliver Smith Hanna, died Sunday June 28, 2009, at his daughter’s home. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel. Burial, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, followed at McClary Cemetery.
Mr. Hanna was born December 4, 1924, in Kingstree, a son of Franklin and Maude McCutcheon Hanna. He was a graduate of Kingstree High School and was an Army veteran. Mr. Hanna was a farmer, a member of Millwood Hunting Club, and a member of Beulah United Methodist Church. Mr. Hanna was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Smith. In addition to his wife, Marian, of Kingstree, survivors include: one daughter, Kay Larson of Pineville; one sister, Gladys Brown of Sumter, two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church, Kingstree or Winyah Hospice, Florence.
