GLEEFUS NERO, SUMMERVILLE

Funeral services for Gleefus Bernard Nero were held Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at The Life Center Cathedral of North Charleston. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Hillcrest Cemetery of Summerville. Mr. Nero died Thursday, August 23, 2012. He was born March 7, 1954, a son of the late Robert and Mary Evelyn Nero. He attended school in Charleston County and graduated from Bonds Wilson High School. He later joined the United States Army. He was a member of Christ Gospel Church. He was a skillful cook, electrician, and moving and storage technician. He was last employed by the Charleston International Airport as a skycap. Survivors are: his wife, Nathalie Grant; five children, Gerard Nelson, Robert Nero, and Deon Nero, all of Summerville; Gleefus Nero (De’BoRah) of Glen Burnie, Maryland; and Ebony Martin (Derrell) of Charleston; four sisters, Vernessa Moore (Alfred), Vera Nero, Zelda Rouse and LaTonia Roberson; one brother, Anthony Nero (Delores); his mother-in-law, Pearl Grant; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Troy Adams, Johnny Grant, Jr., Floyd Gambrell, Gerald Green, and Bernard Mazyck.
