Funeral services were Gilford Wendell Green, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Samuel, were held Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Clauddie Henryhand Memorial Chapel of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at St. John AME Church Cemetery of Andrews. Mr. Green died Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Carolinas Hospital System of Florence. He was born March 4, 1965, in Williamsburg County, a son of Mrs. Ruth Green and the late Will Green. He was a member of St. John AME Church, where he served on the choir. He was educated in Williamsburg County schools and was a truck driver for several years. Survivors, in addition to his mother, are: a special friend, Dionne Reed; four sons, Marcus and Marquise Elmore and Jaheim and Jayden Reed, all of Georgetown; two brothers, Thomas Green (Janet) and Willie Green, both of Andrews; and four sisters, Eva Green, Burdell Green, Linda Green and Panzy Smith (Johnny), all of Andrews.
