Funeral services for George Crawford, conducted by the Rev. Edmond B. Mazyck, were held Friday, October 16, 2009, at Redeemer Reformed Episcopal Church in Pineville. Burial was directed by Henryhand Funeral Home. Mr. Crawford died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at Trident Regional Medical Center. He was born August 10, 1922, a son of the late Joseph and Daisy King Crawford. He was a native of Berkley County and attended school in the Berkeley County School District. He did construction work for many years. Survivors are: his wife, Annie Lee Gourdine Crawford of Pineville; six children, Georgia Pierce (Tony) of Moncks Corner; Joenathan Crawford (Beatrice) of Baltimore, Maryland; Hazel Crawford of Pineville; Sentnellia (Pearl) Collins (Israel) and Carlton Crawford (Catherine), both of Pineville; and Brenda Johnson (Larry) of St. Stephen; 13 grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; 10 great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
