General Allen Hickman, 57, of Lodge, died Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Roper Hospital in Charleston. Mr. Hickman was born in Kingstree on July 22, 1954, the son of Earline P. Hickman and the late Marion Hickman. He was a water operator for the Town of Ehrhardt, volunteer firefighter and first responder for Lodge Rescue Squad, a reserve policeman for Ehrhardt, and had just completed certification for water treatment distribution and bio testing. He attended Carter’s Ford Baptist Church and was a member of Hope Masonic Lodge No. 122.
Survivors, in addition to his mother of Cades, are: his wife, Marie Hiers Hickman; one stepson, Joe Rhodes, Jr. of the home; four brothers, Harry Hickman (Ivy Lee) of Scranton; Mark Hickman (Daine) of Cades; James Hickman of Lake City; and Kevin Hickman (Kim) of Hartsville; three sisters, Cindy Chavis (Bernie) of Canton, North Carolina; Rose Evans (David) of New Zion; and Kathy Fullbright (Marshall) of Greenville; and two grandchildren.
