Four men have been arrested and charged with unlawful possession of handguns. According to Williamsburg County Sheriff's incident reports, around 2 a.m. on February 3, deputies were dispatched to the Jetaway nightclub on North Longstreet in Kingstree in reference to handguns sited in plain view inside four vehicles.
The suspects -- Clarence McGill, 19, of Kingstree, Travin Jerome York, 20, of Greeleyville, Theron Lamont Milford, 31, of Saint Stephen, and Alfred Keith Cunningham, 34, of Kingstree, were charged with unlawful carry of a pistol. In addition, Clarence McGill was charged with possession of a stolen handgun. In that instance, the weapon was traced back to a 1988 burglary in Texas. All weapons were entered into evidence.
Jetaway has been the site of several shootings and disturbances.
Unlawful carry of a pistol is a felony. If convicted, McGill, York, Milford, and Cunningham could be fined up to $2,000 and receive up to five years in prison. The defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
