Four arrested in Prosser murder

Two men and two women are now in custody in connection with the recent shooting death and death of Ernest William Prosser. In less than a week the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office arrested Andre Courtney-Dante Wallace, age 24 of Lake City, Cornelius Quantral McClary, age 24 of 63 Pine Street, Kingstree, Tiffany Naquan Jones, age 22 of 137 Shady Lane, Kingstree and Ronnetta Miller, age 18, of 200 N. Brook Street, Kingstree.
Wallace and McClary are charged with Murder, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime and Burglary 1st. Miller is charged with Murder, and Jones is charged with Accessory Before and After the Fact of Murder. All are currently being held at the Williamsburg Detention Center in Kingstree.
According to preliminary reports, in the early morning hours of October 28, the four suspects allegedly entered Prosser’s home on White Oak Road with the intent to rob him. During the burglary, the victim, who was home at the time, happened upon them. Reports allege that an altercation ensued, whereupon Prosser was fatally wounded by a single shotgun blast.
Prosser was discovered three days later by his son, Ernest William, IV, who had stopped by his father’s residence to retrieve a vehicle license tag.
The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the murder.
