Teachings From the Ark
Teachings From The Ark will have the following events. February 13, Valentine celebration; February 20, movie, admission is $3 with refreshments; February 27, Black History celebration. All the above events start at 12 p.m. with dining afterwards except February 20. Teachings From The Ark’s Food Pantry will be open to the public, Saturday, February 20, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at 101 E. Main St., Kingstree. All recipients are required to show a current valid photo ID card in order to receive commodities.

Worship
The Beulah AME Church family invites you to join them every Sunday morning at 11 a.m. for worship services. Church school begins at 10:10 a.m. The church is located at 2272 Sumter Hwy., Kingstree. For further information call (843) 382-4538.

Concert
El’Shaddai Faith Temple Ministries, 482 Nelson Blvd., Kingstree, presents a gospel concert Jubilee Celebration 2010 on Saturday, February 13, at 3 p.m., sponsored by Outreach Ministry. Admission is free, love offering only.  There will be a free barbecue cookout.

Praise Break 2010
El’Shaddai Faith Temple Ministries, 482 Nelson Blvd., Kingstree, presents Praise Break 2010 TV show. To participate on the show and share your God-given talent (soloists, choirs, recording artists, praise dancers, poets, musicians, comedians and actors). It’s every Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Nelson Blvd. address. Admission is free.

Souvenir Books
During the fall of 1959, a few enterprising people decided that they wanted to build a church. Spring of the following year, the doors of New Friendship Free Will Baptist Church were opened. The church is exciting about celebrating its 50th anniversary. One way the church plans to celebrate, and hope that the community and area businesses will help, is by publishing a souvenir book. You may contribute to this worthwhile endeavor by placing an ad in our souvenir book by means of a donation. For more information please call the Rev. James E. Spaghetti Supper
The St. Ann’s Catholic Church will be hosting a spaghetti supper on Friday, February 12, from  5 to 7 p.m. at 107 Hirsch Street, Kingstree. Take out or dine in. For more information contact 843-354-2330.

Clothes Giveaway
Kingstree Church of Christ, 1288 Sumter Hwy., Kingstree, will have a clothes giveaway on Saturday, March 20, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“Souper” Supper
Hebron Independent Church will host a “Souper” Supper on Friday, February 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. Soups, hot breads and cookies will be provided for this “Valentines” themed dinner. There is no charge for the meal but a free-will offering will be collected with all proceeds going to the Rev. Walt Procter who is recovering from a recent, serious auto accident. The Rev. Procter was interim pastor at Hebron Independent Church and has pastored other churches in the area. There will be gospel music with the meal and a large “Valentine” will be available for signing and will be given to the Rev. Procter. Hebron Independent Church is located at 1424 Hebron Rd., two miles south of Hebron Crossroads. For further information call the church at (843) 389-7507.

Black History Program
St. James AME Church Sons of Allen will be having their annual black history program on Sunday, February 21, at 4 p.m. The program this year will feature C.E. Murray High School Choir, mime praise dancing, gospel choirs, the musical singing group Big John & the Singing Sons of Georgetown, Elsie Synbab & the Heavenly Angels and Esther Williams who has perform at the Apollo Theater in New York. Blessed Angela Meal
On Feb. 23, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., St. Ann Catholic Center at 908 Thorne Ave. in Kingstree offers a free hot lunch. Everyone is welcome. This meal is offered on the last Tuesday of each month all year long.

Free Breakfast
Greater Bethel AME Church will be serving a free hot breakfast on the last Friday of each month until further notice from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. The church is located at 308 W. Main St., Kingstree. Everyone is welcome.
