Christmas Cantata
The Music Ministry of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church., 701 St. John Street, Kingstree, will present its second annual Evening Christmas Cantata entitled, “Hope Has Hands”, on Sunday, November 29, at 5:30 p.m. The cantata will be directed by Minister of Music Mr. Kendrick R. Huggins and will feature members of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. This is the Christmas story as told by Simon, who was told by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Messiah, and by Anna who was a prophetess that served God in the temple. Come celebrate the beginning of the “Advent Season” with the Mt. Zion Church family and Pastor Jack C. Washington, the hope that was born on Christmas day. Your presence with us will be greatly appreciated. We feel that your evening will be most uplifting and enjoyable through narration and songs.
Soup & Cornbread
The Kizzie Scott Circle of Mt. Vernon Methodist Church will have their annual soup and cornbread day on Saturday, November 21. We will have soup and corn fritters, baked goods, etc. Eat in or take out between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Come and enjoy!
Clothing Give-away
Kingstree Church of Christ, 1288 Sumter Hwy., Kingstree, will have a clothing giveaway on Saturday, November 21, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Teachings From The Ark
November 21, movie. Admission is $2 with refreshments; All above events start at 12 p.m. with dining afterwards except November 21. Teachings From The Ark’s Food Pantry will be open to the public Saturday, November 21, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at 101 E. Main St., Kingstree. All recipients are required to show a current valid photo I.D. card in order to receive commodities.

Hebron Independent Church will host a community Thanksgiving praise service Wednesday, November 25, at 7 p.m. All are invited to participate in this special time of testimony and worship. Hebron Independent Church is located at 1424 Hebron Rd. (two miles south of Hebron Crossroads)

Harvest Services
Wilson Chapel United Methodist Church, located at 65 C.E. Murray Boulevard in Greeleyville, cordially invites you to worship with them on Monday, November 23, at 7 p.m. for their harvest services. The evangelist for the services will be Minister Pernerva Washington Thomas of Asbury United Methodist Church in Andrews.
Blessed Angela Meal
On Nov. 24, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., St. Ann Catholic Center at 908 Thorne Ave. in Kingstree offers a free hot lunch. Everyone is welcome. This meal is offered on the last Tuesday of each month all year long.
Free Breakfast
Greater Bethel AME Church will be serving a free hot breakfast on the last Friday of each month until further notice from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. The church is located at 308 W. Main St., Kingstree. Everyone is welcome.
