Worship Services

Family & Friends Day
Laurel Swamp Missionary Baptist Church family cordially invites you to our annual Family and Friends Day celebration starting Wednesday, September 2 to Friday, September 4, beginning nightly at 7:30 p.m. We will have various speakers, choirs and groups throughout the week. We will continue on Sunday, September 6, with morning worship at 11 a.m. followed by dinner and concluding at 4 p.m. with an afternoon of gospel singing showcasing various groups and choirs from the surrounding areas.

VBS
Cades Baptist Church will be having Vacation Bible School August 10-12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each night. This year’s message: “God’s Expectations For Children.” All ages welcome.

Teachings From The Ark
Teachings From The Ark’s pantry will be open to the public, Saturday, August 22, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at 101 E. Main Street, Kingstree. All recipients are required to show a current valid photo ID card in order to receive commodities. August 15, 22 and 29, Teachings from the Ark.  All above events start at 12 p.m. dining afterwards except August 22.

Gospel Singing

Joy Night
Greater Bethel AME Church, 308 W. Main St., Kingstree, the Breakfast Ministry presents Joy Night on August 21, at 7 p.m.  The concert will feature True Word of Faith Christian Church Gospel Choir and the Spiritual Tones of Kingstree. A free will offering will be taken. Free breakfast will be every third Friday morning from 8 to 10 a.m.
The pastor is Joshua Dupree, Jr.

Revival
Welcome everyone Kingstree First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Hwy. 52 and McCall Rd., revival starts at 7:30 p.m. August 16-19. Speaker will be the Rev. Donald Duncan.

Dedication & Revival
Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Andrews announces dedication and revival schedule. Dedication revival services will be held Tuesday, August 11, to Friday, August 14, at 7:30p.m. nightly. Tutors Needed
The successful Homework Program at St. Ann Center is due to the local volunteers who have been helping children with their homework for the past 17 years. More children can be helped and more successes can be achieved if more volunteers offer one hour a week to assist. Other adults are needed to teach arts 'n crafts, music, chorus, drumming, dancing, cooking. If you are interested in any of these areas, please contact Sister Susanne at 354-9415 or Sister Adrian at 355-5810 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The After School Program is scheduled to open the week of September 7.

Blessed Angela Meal    
On August 25, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., St. Ann Catholic Center at 908 Thorne Ave. in Kingstree offers a free hot lunch. Everyone is welcome. This meal is offered on the last Tuesday of each month all year long.

Free Breakfast
Greater Bethel AME Church will be serving a free hot breakfast on the last Friday of each month until further notice from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. The church is located at 308 W. Main St., Kingstree. Everyone is welcome.

Clothing Closet
The Clothing Closet at the St. Ann Outreach Center, 908 Thorne Ave., Kingstree, is open from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. the first three Fridays of every month.

Fellowship Breakfast
St. Michael United Methodist Church of the Cedar Swamp community will have a fellowship breakfast every fourth Sunday morning from 8-9 a.m., studying the book of Ezekeial. The Rev. Dr. Charles R., Jr. is the pastor.

Morning Prayer
St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, on the corner of Hampton Ave. and Church Street in Kingstree, invites everyone to attend Daily Morning Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer. Morning prayer is held Monday through Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
