Frances Fisher Hastings, 62, wife of Kenneth B. Hastings, died Monday, February 1, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services were held Friday, February 5, 2010, in the chapel at Williamsburg Funeral Home in Kingstree. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at Davidson College Presbyterian Chapel in Davidson, North Carolina.
Mrs. Hastings was born July 1, 1947, in Iredell County, North Carolina, a daughter of John G. Fisher, II and the late Hattie White Fisher. Before her retirement, she was the production planning manager at Talon. She was a member of Millwood Methodist Church, where she was the church treasurer. Survivors, in addition to her husband Kenneth Hastings and her father John Fisher, are: three daughters, Sharon Childers (Bobby), of Florida; Donna Nance (Mark) of North Carolina; and Jennifer Hastings of South Carolina; two sons, Robert Hastings (Jaira) of North Carolina and Eric Hastings (Pamela) of Florida; one brother, John G. Fisher III, of South Carolina; 10 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
