Funeral services, conducted by Bishop Joe T. Gamble, were held Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Clauddie Henryhand Memorial Chapel of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Burroughs Cemetery of Nesmith. Mr. McGill, a native of Sacramento, California, died Thursday, September 27, 2012. He was born May 13, 1972. He attended Fairbanks Elementary School. He also attended Our Lady of Fatima for the seventh and eighth grades. He completed his secondary school education as a graduate of Grant Union High School’s Class of 1990. After high school, he attended American River College. He also studied at the Charles A. Jones Skills and Business Education Center, where he learned the trade of auto mechanics. His work career began at Pizza Hut and Pep Boys. He dedicated the last 11 years working for ALLDATA, and AutoZone Company as a technical editor.
Survivors are: his mother, Mary Francis McGill of Sacramento, California; his father, Wesley Gary of Sacramento, California; two daughters, Alexis McGill and Emani McGill, both of Sacramento, California; one son, Jeffrey Mullens of Sacramento, California; one daughter, he raised as his own, Jessica Mullens of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Wesley Gary, III of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Kimble Gary and Stephen Gary, both of Sacramento, California; two sisters, Leslie D. Gary-Williams of Sacramento, California; and Kecia C. Gary of Stockton, California; and his girlfriend, Katina Burton of Sacramento, California. Pallbearers were Greg McGill, Craig Wallace, Zach Wallace, Wayne Green, Ray Edwards, and Dante Nesmith.
