Ector Daniel Shepard, 82, died Sunday, September 9, 2012, at Tidelands Hospice House in Georgetown. Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home. Mr. Shepard was born September 22, 1929, in Kingstree, the son of the late Ector W. and Elise Daniel Shepard. He was a graduate of Kingstree High School, Presbyterian College and the LSU School of Banking. He then began a career in banking, retiring from First Citizens Bank. He served in the US Army as a 1st Lt. and was a member of Union Presbyterian Church. He was married to the late Bevis Boyd Shepard. Survivors are: one daughter, Carol S. Morgan (C.J) of Dallas, Texas; one son, Ector Daniel “Dan” Shepard, Jr. (Penny) of Manning; and three grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice, 2591 N.
